Tolkz Speakers Speaker, Events & Digital Commerce Platform

Tolkz Speakers needed a digital platform that could do more than introduce its brand or list upcoming events. Its activities brought together professional speakers, event audiences, educational content and opportunities for community participation. These experiences needed to be accessible through one coherent website.

The platform had to support speaker discovery and applications, event publishing and ticket sales, and content that could extend beyond live events into books, courses and podcasts. It also required distinct interfaces for administrators and speakers, alongside payment options suitable for its audiences.

The challenge was to bring these different workflows together without turning the website into a collection of disconnected tools: visitors needed an understandable experience, speakers needed their own workspace, and administrators needed practical controls for running the platform.

ProDevX Solutions designed and developed the complete Tolkz Speakers platform, building the frontend with Next.js and Tailwind CSS and the backend with PHP and MySQL.

Speaker discovery and participation. We implemented speaker profiles and application-related experiences to make it easier to present speakers and support participation in the platform. A dedicated Speaker Dashboard provides a role-specific area for speakers.

Events and ticket sales. We developed event publishing and ticketing capabilities, connecting the attendee journey to online payments. Stripe and Mobile Money were integrated as payment methods.

Digital products and media. Beyond event tickets, the platform supports selling books and courses, and showcasing podcasts. This gives Tolkz a single digital home for multiple content and commerce formats.

Nominations and voting. We delivered nominations and voting functionality as part of the platform's participation features.

Administration. A dedicated Admin Dashboard supports the management side of the platform, while the Speaker Dashboard separates speaker-facing experiences from administrative workflows.

Infrastructure and measurement. Cloudflare was used for the website's security layer, Sentry for error reporting, Cloudinary for media storage, and Google Analytics was integrated to measure website activity.

The result is a custom platform whose public experience and management tools are built around Tolkz's combination of speaking, events, education and commerce.

Tolkz Speakers is a live platform bringing together speaker profiles, events, ticket sales, books, courses, podcasts, nominations and voting, and separate administrator and speaker dashboards.

The platform lists more than 40 speakers, and the project representative reports over $2,000 in event ticket sales processed through it. Google Analytics figures supplied for the website show 172 active users over a 90-day period.

For ProDevX Solutions, the project demonstrates end-to-end delivery of a multi-feature web application, combining responsive frontend development, custom backend engineering, payments, role-based dashboards, audience participation and analytics in a single production platform.
